The company has the Energy transition and Sustainability as key elements of their strategy. They manage projects in carbon capture and operate the world’s largest gasification projects. They invest in the production and distribution of hydrogen and are developing a mobility infrastructure by building and operating Hydrogen fuel stations.
The job:
You will work under the supervision of a Lead Engineer on large projects or acting as Lead for smaller projects with the guidance of a senior Engineer.
Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Working on projects of various technologies include Air Separation, Hydrogen, Ammonia with their associated utilities.
- Participation in P&ID development, Hazard review and SIL lifecycle
- Specification of process control equipment including control valves, relief valves, flow measurement devices, process instrumentation
- Design, specification, configuration and testing of control and analytical systems.
- Reporting and forecasting activities to track and report progress.
- Coordination with various execution centres
- Interface management between other contractors, licensors and package equipment manufactures.
- Inspection and testing of systems at fabricator work.
- Pre-commissioning and startup on sites around Europe and the Middle East
Requested:
- Degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering or related Engineering discipline
5-10 years’ experience in an engineering design or operating organisation, preferably within the Process Industry
- The ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative, as well as supporting the wider team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling collaboration with colleagues located in multiple geographies, and to liaise directly with suppliers and clients.
- Familiar with use of SmartPlant Instrumentation, including population of data sheets and specification of a range of instrumentation.
- Knowledge in the application of Industrial Controls & Safety Systems (DCS, PLC, ESD, F&G). Experience with Siemens PLC/Software is mandatory.
- Knowledge in the application of Process Analysers would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with working on FEED stage project would be an advantage.
- The ability to undertake occasional, short-term international travel for inspection, construction contractor supervision or commissioning.
- Relevant practical site experience would be a benefit but is not essential.
- Already eligible to live and work in The Netherlands (EU passport or valid Dutch work-permit).
