Location: Travelers Rest, SC
Industry: plastic injection molding manufacturing
Status of Hire: direct placement; permanent
Shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm (2nd shift)
Pay: $30/hr + depending on experience

Summary: Process Technician is responsible for setting up, processing and qualifying precision parts, while monitoring production.
Job Duties:
- Monitor lines
- Verify material matches bill of material (BOM)
- Set cycle times for standard efficiency
- Verify component material part number against production BOM
- Logbook entry/ Pass down of shifts issues
- Make set up / repair and troubleshoot machines to produce quality parts
- Stop presses for color changes and purge out remaining material per work instruction and standard operation procedures (SOP)
- Perform Mold Changes / Tool pulls and sets
- Ensures all molds and molding machine runs at maximum performance
- Inspect production – first piece
- Inspect production – in process
- Notify Quality if a defect is detected
- Analyze problem areas when parts are not meeting quality specification. Make all required adjustments to ensure that all parts meet specification for size/appearance and functionality
- Maintain and complete all necessary reports and records
- Communicate and work with supervisors to determine production priorities on a daily shift activities and on mold and machines issues.
- Continuously work for best quality and productivity on line
- Apply the Standardized work in the work place and participate to the improvements of standards
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well maintain good housekeeping and GMP practices
- Other duties as may be assigned by management
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma or G.E.D
- Technical Degree in a process related field preferred
- Self-Motivated
- Must be able to troubleshoot machines in a systematic manner
- Understand machine functionality
- Must be able to work in a safe manner and follow safety rules
Physical Requirements:
- This position may involve working in a manufacturing environment that requires standing for prolonged periods, walking, and occasionally lifting equipment or materials. Adherence to safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
