Project Engineer

Job Description of Project Civil/ Architectural/ Electrical / Mechanical Engineers.

Key Accountability

• Review of Contract Documents, Study of Construction Drawings, Plan site activities and procurement , coordinate with various subcontractors and trades , inspect the completed works and ensure quality of all materials and workmanship.


Roles and Responsibilities
• Review of Contract Documents
• Study of Construction Drawings and Shop drawings of Subcontractors
• Prepare Material Requisition for Items to be procured
• Plan site activities and procurement
• Coordinate with various trades and subcontractors
• Ensure quality of the items procured and workmanship
• Assign responsibilities to Site Engineers and Site Supervisors
• Liaise with Client Representatives and Project Management Consultants
• Prepare As Built Drawings, Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Warranty Certificates and prepare the works for Handover to Client
Job Requirements

1. Education :
• Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering Field

2. Experience :
• 10-15 Years’ experience in Site Supervision of major construction or mixed use projects
• At least 5years’ experience in the capacity of Project Engineer for Commercial Building Projects
• Should have demonstrated Leadership qualities


3. Competencies :
• Should be able to read drawings using AutoCad Software
• Should be familiar with Standard Construction Methods and Materials
• Should have good command in MS Office
• Should be familiar with Standard Methods of Measurement
• Good Interpersonal and Communication skills

• Actual Revenue vs. Cash Flow projection
• Planned Progress Vs. Actual
• Number of Defects reported during Defect Liability Period
• Saving due to Value Engineering proposals
• Minimize the chances of Variation Claims and Cost Over runs due to it
• Number of Lost Time Incidents/ Accidents
• Customer Satisfaction
