Position Summary

The Engineering Project Manager is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of civil engineering projects. With a focus on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, this position requires a seasoned professional who can effectively manage multiple projects, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and lead project teams towards achieving project deliverables on time, within scope, and budget. As an Engineering Project Manager, your leadership will drive the strategic direction of projects, fostering innovation, efficiency, and the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and risk management, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, motivation, and support to achieve project goals and professional growth of team members.
  • Manage all aspects of project communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders, ensuring clear, timely, and effective exchange of information.
  • Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring terms meet the strategic goals of the project and organization.
  • Oversee the financial performance of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to ensure profitability and financial accountability.
  • Ensure projects comply with all relevant regulations, permits, standards, and best practices in environmental and civil engineering.
  • Promote and implement innovative solutions and best practices in project management and civil engineering to enhance project outcomes and sustainability.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of company policies, procedures, and standards related to project management and engineering practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil or environmental engineering field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams towards achieving project and organizational goals.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proficiency in managing stakeholder relationships and expectations.
  • Deep understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, with experience in applying them to engineering projects.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and innovations.
