We are currently recruiting Engineering and Projects specialists within the mining sector to support the delivery of integrated project services across the full project lifecycle. Our focus is on securing highly skilled professionals who can contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable projects and operational outcomes.
As we prepare for upcoming project opportunities and anticipated contract awards, we are proactively building a strong network of specialist talent to ensure readiness to mobilize once work is confirmed.
We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and appropriate classification of cost estimates for large and complex projects. This role plays a critical part in supporting project decision‑making through robust estimating, risk analysis, and benchmarking. This role is based in Johannesburg. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain integrated cost estimating plans across all project phases.
- Prepare and update cost estimates in line with required estimate classes and standards.
- Develop detailed bases of estimate and assess estimate maturity.
- Apply quantitative risk assessment (QRA) to determine contingency and confidence ranges.
- Benchmark cost elements and maintain estimating databases.
- Validate estimates prepared by third parties and support change requests.
- Produce cashflow inputs for project economics and support study teams with cost data.
- Capture and feed actual cost data back into estimating systems.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
- Degree or diploma with a qualification in Cost Estimating, Quantity Surveying, or Economics preferred.
- 10–15 years’ experience in cost estimating within construction or engineering project environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to work with complex data, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
