We are seeking a highly skilled Project Procurement Manager to oversee all procurement activities for large-scale energy projects based in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services within budget and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish sourcing plans aligned with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for project materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Prepare, review, and manage procurement contracts in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and manage variations or claims effectively.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Identify procurement-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to align procurement activities with project schedules.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular progress reports.
- Provide updates on supplier performance, cost status, and procurement risks.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- B Sc. in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent Additional qualifications desirable in multi-disciplinary engineering areas.
- Certification: RICS (Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors) full membership, CIPS (Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent certifications would be an advantage.
- 10 to 15 years of experience with Dredging, Civil Marine Engineering industry, Experience with FIDIC contracts and BIMCO (Chartering).
