Our client, a global leading EPC and engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of a major project. This role requires a senior technical professional capable of managing electrical engineering activities from concept through detailed design, ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, and project governance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical engineering work in line with Discipline Design Instructions, project procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.

  • Produce core engineering deliverables including: Base of Design, specifications, load lists, datasheets, calculations, single‑line diagrams, equipment sizing, MTOs, drawings, and wiring diagrams.

  • Perform ETAP electrical system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and protection analysis.

  • Provide input into layouts, equipment lists, and cost estimates.

  • Participate in project meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow all checking and verification procedures.

  • Ensure project scope clarity and manage changes in accordance with formal change‑control processes.

  • Support procurement activities, including technical advice, requisition oversight, and technical bid evaluations.

  • Ensure compliance with national, international, and local electrical codes, including Aramco SAES and Saudi regulatory requirements.

  • Design motor protection and control schematics/wiring diagrams.

  • Review vendor documentation for compliance with technical specifications and project standards.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, clients, and vendors.


Qualifications: 

  • Proven background in EPC and detailed design environments.

  • Strong experience producing all major electrical engineering deliverables.

  • Proficient in ETAP and electrical system modelling.

  • In‑depth knowledge of Aramco SAES, international standards, and Saudi electrical regulations.

  • Experienced in vendor management, design review, and procurement support.

  • Confident working with multidisciplinary teams and client stakeholders.
