Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Designer to join our engineering team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in piping design, 3D modeling, and plant layout development using industry-standard software. This role involves creating and reviewing piping deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing efficient, safe, and cost-effective piping systems for large-scale EPC projects across various industries.
Key Responsibilities

Develop 3D piping models and plant layouts using Smart 3D (S3D) and other relevant design software.

Prepare and review detailed piping deliverables, including:
-
Plot Plans
-
Equipment Layout Drawings
-
Piping General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
-
Piping Isometrics
-
Pipe Support Drawings
-
Tie-in Drawings
-
-
Perform piping routing and equipment modeling in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
-
Conduct clash detection and coordinate resolutions using tools such as Navisworks and related applications.
-
Ensure compliance with applicable piping design codes, standards, and client requirements.
-
Coordinate effectively with Process, Mechanical, Civil & Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
-
Participate in 3D model reviews and support client review meetings.
-
Collaborate with stress engineering teams to address piping flexibility and stress analysis requirements.
-
Incorporate constructability, operability, maintainability, and safety considerations into piping designs.
-
Support project execution by providing timely and accurate design outputs while meeting quality and schedule requirements.
-
Contribute to both Greenfield and Brownfield project execution activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
-
3 to 12 years of experience in piping design within EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Chemical, or related industries.
-
Strong proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D), AutoCAD, SPR, Navisworks, and other piping design tools.
-
Thorough understanding of piping design principles, industry codes, and engineering standards.

Experience in plant layout development, equipment modeling, and piping routing.
-
Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in Offshore and Onshore projects.
-
Exposure to Brownfield and Greenfield projects.
-
Previous involvement in multidisciplinary engineering projects and client-facing reviews.

Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be preferred.
