JOB DESCRIPTION – QC ENGINEER, at least 2 years relevant experience

 

JOB MISSION, RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Job Mission Supporting the quality assurance and quality control systems and activities for specific project or subsidiary
Job Responsibilities The QC Engineer is responsible for:
- developing quality audit checklists and participating in quality assurance audits of corporate and/or project quality assurance programs and plans including pre-award assessments of potential vendors and subcontractors;
- providing expert guidance and advice on project engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning and other activities related to the quality program/plan;
- provides expert guidance and advice associated with the disposition of nonconforming conditions and associated corrective actions;
- identifying applicable quality standards and critical attributes on selected engineering and procurement documents to ensure the inclusion of quality requirements;
- reviewing and assisting in the development of critical attributes on project associated quality-related procedures and manuals for conformance to project quality assurance program/plan requirements;
- reviewing and developing revisions/amendments to the corporate and/or project quality assurance program/plans;
- developing position papers on new or revised regulatory requirements and their impact on the established quality assurance program;
- reviewing and comments on corporate/project quality inspection plans;
- preparing the inspection test plan for the scope of work to be approved by the client;
- following up on actions taken in response to audit findings to ensure adequacy of completed corrective actions;
- leading Root Cause Analysis teams by identifying the use of appropriate techniques to ensure proper/correct identification of the root cause of non-compliant issues;
- performing an advisory role for specific quality assurance projects (e.g. causal analyses, complex/high visibility quality problem resolution, and quality program development and implementation);
- ensuring the quality records, acceptance certificates, mechanical completion certificates and the documentation for specific systems and buildings/areas are prepared and collated in accordance with project requirements;
- coordinating with the site QC Manager for the completion of as-built documentation;
- resolving any discrepancies between the completed milestone and quality documentation;
- reviewing suppliers inspections and test plans against the milestone scope of work;
- coordinating with the commissioning department to define the scope of work;
- assisting the site subcontractors to compile turnover dossiers;
- providing progress information for incorporation into project reports;
- signalling to the QC Manager, possible delays in QC as-built documentation;
- monitoring and controlling the status of punch list and exception lists relevant to quality dossiers;
- ensuring compliance with safety standards and local laws and customs;
- attending client quality management meetings;
- coordinating any inconsistencies with test packages with the field QC site inspectors;
- supporting the formulation and development of advanced engineering concepts associated with proposal development design or construction pertaining to quality assurance;
Job Requirements - familiarity with the standards for Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001);
- familiarity with material certification standards;
- familiarity with the processes implemented by the company and with the reference profiles for all company functions;
- excellent knowledge of English and Dutch
- ability to organise the activities in the framework of the process managed and in relation to the other corporate processes, identifying and removing the inefficiencies;
- technical school diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil or construction or environmental engineering/architecture;
training certificate above UNI EN ISO 9000 (auditor);
- relevant experience on similar roles;
- experience within multicultural and international environment working for General contractor companies in private and public civil engineering projects;
- good knowledge of MS Office Suite;
