Quantity Surveyor

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work for a Leader in engineering consulting. This is a perfect opportunity for individuals who are looking to grow their leadership skills in project support and administration.

Responsibilities:

• Performing survey calculations required for construction
• Utilizes methods and techniques consistent with good surveying practices
• Selects and uses the appropriate surveying instruments and equipment best suited for the job
• Provides the proper care, maintenance, checking, adjusting, and repair of surveying instruments and equipment
• Prepares and maintains complete and accurate field survey notes
• Provides measurements and data to support the preparation of as-built drawings
• Establishes quantities for progress and cost reports and for the verification of payments to contractors
• Coordinates and schedules survey activities with construction supervision
• Remains knowledgeable of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner
• comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits
• Determines the composition of field survey parties and the required equipment, methods, techniques, and procedures to be utilized by field engineering crews
• Other duties as assigned

Experiences and Qualifications:

• Experience in mining projects or heavy industry, port facility, material handling facility
• Site experience are must
• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or in related field from recognized university
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Knowledge in the use of QS software
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Able to work on own or managing a team for project deliverables as project dictates
• Possess good project background skills
