Refinery Operations Manager

Our client is a major player in the oil-refining industry and are seeking a Refinery Operations Manager to join their team in Breslau, ON. In this role you will be responsible for managing the operations of the used oil-refining process. The responsibilities of this position include assessing the efficiency of the plant, executing strategies to enhance reliability and reduce costs, and leading efforts to promote sustainable profitability for the refinery.

Key Job Duties:
• Accountable for the safe operation of the facility
• Budget for production and costs
• Approve purchases for refinery supplies
• Act as the incident investigation team lead
• Oversee H&S compliance for the operations group

Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred
• 10 + years of education/experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree
• Experience with refining operations is preferred
• Able to successfully manage a diverse work force
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
