Overview
Here is an exciting opportunity to join our client in Calgary, AB as a Rotating Equipment Engineer
! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and leadership to troubleshoot and investigate complex reliability issues with rotating equipment and provide operations and maintenance teams with necessary direction for repairs
- Improve existing asset strategies by working closely with maintenance, planners, and operations on reliability issues and failure trends, while refining condition monitoring programs
- Use risk review approaches, hazard and operability studies, management of change process to maintain and improve area safety and reliability performance indicators
- Lead the engineering design of minor plant and equipment modifications. Develop, implement, and oversee improvements to continuously improve rotating equipment reliability and availability
- Use technical knowledge and project management skills to prepare work scopes and coordinate complex repairs such as equipment overhauls and maintenance projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering
- 7+ years of engineering experience with machinery or material handling systems
- Registered P. Eng
- Experience in reliability management tools such as failure mode effect and analysis (FMEA), reliability centered maintenance (RCM), and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
- Knowledge and expertise in centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, centrifugal and PD pumps, turbines and T&T valves, crushers, conveyors, sizers, and mechanical seals API 682 and API seal piping plans
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, GA’s, piping isometrics, etc. is mandatory
