We at TRS Staffing are currently looking for a Rules and Compliance Lead for our client, a major rail company based in Southern Ontario, for the location of Bolton. The candidate will be reporting directly to the Manager of HSE, and be responsible for auditing, coaching and training field personnel engaged in track protection activities, and promoting improvement in all safety and compliance of railways within the eastern region.
Responsibilites:
- Advise and consult to all field personnel on railway safety, continuous improvement and best practices of CP and CN railway rules
- Perform field safety and compliance audits with track protection personnel
- Develop and implement strategic plans to make sure track protection, work assisgnments, record keeping and train clearing is all documented
- Drive and support managers to implent the annual HSE plan and objectives
- Ensure all employees understand and comply with company policies and procedures
- Identify plans to reduce hazards to reduce the risk to the organization
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of railway experience in a transit environment, with expert understanding of railway rules
- Must be very knowledgeable of railway track protection rules, field documentation, and practical application of all track protection rules
- Degree / Diploma in health / safety / environment or a related field
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
