Their alternative mining system not only challenges the inefficiencies of centralized, conventional compressed air mining methods but also leads the charge in sustainable and profitable mining operations.
Due to an expanding project pipeline and increasing workloads, the company is seeking a motivated and professional Sales Account Manager to lead its technical workshop. This role will be based in the Northwest Province. Your leadership will streamline the maintenance, repair, and operational processes, directly contributing to the overall success of the mining projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion: Strategically grow targeted markets to drive revenue and increase turnover.
- Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs analyses to identify opportunities within predetermined mining sectors.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and business plans to maximize revenue growth.
- Sales Review: Compile comprehensive weekly sales reviews and forecasts to track progress and inform decision-making.
- Customer Engagement: Prepare persuasive customer proposals, reports, and quotations to win new business.
- Training & Presentations: Deliver engaging training sessions and presentations to customers, showcasing our products and services.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Accurate Reporting: Maintain meticulous sales activity records to support performance tracking and accountability.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer developments to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Event Participation: Actively participate in road shows, exhibitions, and product demonstrations to promote our offerings.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Post-matric diploma or degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Sales is preferred; a trade qualification is a bonus.
- Minimum of 5 years + of successful experience in achieving sales targets within the mining environment.
- Business Development: Strong ability to hunt for and source new business opportunities.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with sales technology tools.
- Presentation Skills: Exceptional presentation abilities with a flair for engaging stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to confidently engage with customers.
- Medical Requirements: Valid Medical Certificate or proof of medical fitness to work underground.
- Background Check: Must have no criminal record.
