SAP Functional Analyst

TRS Staffing has an opening for an SAP Functional Analyst (PP/QM/PM). This position reports to the ERP Plant Operations & SHE Service Owner and is located in Houston, Texas. Below are details of the position requirements:

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with internal and external partners to understand requests, gather requirements, perform ROI and risk analysis
• Design and build SAP PP, QM and PM solutions
• Perform maintenance and support of SAP PP, QM, PM and other custom developments
• Ensure technical solutions maintain design integrity, adhere to functional designs and meet business needs.
• Create test scripts and drive integration and regression testing
• Successfully handle multiple issues and tasks, completing them on time and within budget while exceeding expectations
• Ensure, where possible, that global solutions are scalable
• Seek opportunities to develop and maintain knowledge of business processes, application functionality and configuration
• Recommend operational continuous improvement opportunities, service efficiency initiatives and business process improvement to better serve business needs
• Make recommendations on functional and technical improvements to the application
• Work closely with other team members, locally and globally, proactively sharing expertise to improve and ensure team success
• Provide feedback on team members’ performance
• Submit written project status and time
• Ability to travel 25% to Lake Charles, LA will be required

Skill Requirements:

• Hands on configuration experience in SAP PP Process Industry or Repetitive Manufacturing and Quality Management
• Deep knowledge of data migration tools
• Good trouble shooting skills in areas of interfaces and EDI/DOC
• Experience writing functional specifications using SAP standard and custom tables, user exits, business add-ins (BADI#s), BAPI ALE, and IDOC or other EDI related settings
• Experience working in offshore/onsite support model
• Must have hands on experience in the Design/Blueprint phase of SAP transformation programs and Data Conversions
• Experience in writing Functional Specification and project design documents
• Chemicals /Oil and Gas Industry experience is a big plus

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• At least 5 - 7 years of experience designing and implementing SAP Projects or Operations support
• At least 2 full project lifecycle SAP PP/QM implementations
