TRS Staffing Solutions have an opportunity for an offshore satellite supervisor, working for a global engineering, procurement and construction company, 
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the process systems and personnel working on the satellite installations.  Also to support decommissioning and construction activities around the field.
  1. To direct operations in accordance with statutory and company regulations to realise business goals and objectives including KPI’s
  2. To supervise, plan and control the activities of the satellite team, associated support and vendor personnel such that they are compliant with statutory and Client policies
  3. To support Decommissioning and construction activities around the field.
  4. To enforce statutory and Client policies
  5. Hold the designated position of Offshore Installation Manager for Normally Unattended Installationsand associated emergency response duties
  6. To work in close contact with the Production Superintendent and OIM in delivery of high performance on the satellite platforms
  7. Identify and operate at the optimum process parameters for the installation
  8. Ensure that isolations / de-isolations executed by the satellite team are completed safely, efficiently and effectively
  9. Supervise and direct the operation of supply, support and standby vessels to and from the installation and 500 meter zone, including materials and fluids transfers
  10. Oversee the Radio Operator to ensure radio contact and operation is maintained to meet safety and operational requirements
  11. Assist the OIM and Production and Maintenance Supervisor in planning and completing preventative maintenance programmes.
  12. Understand the work plan and liquidate work safely and on time, ensuring that materials are booked out of stores in advance
  13. Monitor SAP time-writing, history, technical completion, compliance reporting and ensure MCR’s are raised as required for the satellite teams
  14. Administer site audit systems
  15. Maintain various electronic business systems
  16. Provide local support to Head office projects and Asset Support Team initiatives

  8. Ensure your personal certificates as per Company skills matrix are valid and safety critical competency is maintained and also compile and maintain personal profile  to demonstrate competency in line with Company procedure
  9. In the event of an emergency, carry out such duties as identified in the emergency response procedure or station bill and participate in emergency response team training
  10. Train other personnel as directed; take on multi-tasking duties as and when competency proved in skills defined by Client and act flexibly to cover temporary projects and other roles as required
  11. Actively suggest improvements to installation processes
  12. Lead/attend Hazops/ Hazids/Work Place Risk Assessments/Tool Box Talks as and when required
  13. Participate in audits and inspections as directed by Line Manager or Client
  14. Ensure that any defects in working practices, machinery, tools, equipment, protective measures and protective clothing are immediately brought to the attention of management so that steps can be instigated to remedy the defect or take the equipment out of service until repaired or made safe
  15. Provide a detailed handover log to provide sufficient information to the oncoming shift team to continue safe and efficient operation

General Responsibilities of Supervisors
  1. Carry out 12 monthly appraisals and 6 monthly reviews with core crew
  2. Play a key role in the ongoing programme of Competent Person Profile (CPP) and achieve assessor status
  3. Consider opportunities for succession planning & manage accordingly
  4. Lead the team to ensure high standards of performance and behaviours and promptly address shortfalls that are identified using performance management and disciplinary process as appropriate.
  5. Responsible, in conjunction with OIM, for emergency team training and preparedness
  6. Assist with the initial response to asset emergencies
  7. Have working knowledge of the Core Crew terms and conditions
  8. Senior employee on the installation and as such is focal point for issues
  9. Participate in the selection process for installation personnel
  10. Identify opportunities for multi-tasking & cross discipline synergies to optimise time & resources.
  11. Monitor and manage CMMS (SAP) time writing, history reporting, Work Order housekeeping, technical completions, compliance and promote Maintenance Change Request submission
  12. Ensure both verbal & written handovers, handover logs complete, ensuring information is current & discernible.
  13. Identify and deliver continuous improvements in performance and processes

  • Permit to work system awareness (preferably ISSoW)
  • Computerised planned maintenance system (preferably SAP)
  • STOP and/or Synergi awareness or equivalent
  • Accident and Investigation Training
  • Relevant qualifications in core discipline background
  • Supervisory Management Training and Development (SMTD) or equivalent
