Senior Construction Manager-Pipelines required for our client to be based in Kazakhstan

As the Senior Construction Manager your responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
Management, supervision and coordination of on-site pipeline subcontracted work
Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction supervisors and engineers within assigned areas
Perform in an integrated client/contractor role
Routinely study, check, review and validate the discipline scope of work against the appropriate Contract Requisition to ensure the Contractors correctly interpret and comply with the latest revision AFC drawings, quantities, and specifications
Ensure that the Health, Safety, Environment, Security (HES) and quality policy is understood and implemented by all supervised staff and construction contractors
Ensure that all field pipeline construction activities are executed in conformance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, quality requirements and safety standards
Control project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment
Provide input for the development of project schedules in cooperation with the construction engineers and planners
Ensures that daily and weekly short-range planning is maintained down to the foreman level

Review design scope and approach with regard to constructability and submits recommendations for change
Determine and validate manpower levels to attain schedule milestones and monitor manpower levels and craft mixes to ensure conformance with the construction plan
Monitor productivity and cost and implements appropriate action to maintain maximum labour productivity and cost-effectiveness. Understand contractor’s financial motives/incentives and manage schedule
Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed
Plan and manage the project’s temporary facilities as required
Align with Systems Completions to produce logically planned work completions for commissioning and start-up requirements
Perform other tasks upon request from the GS Project Manager - Pipelines
Job requirements:

The Senior Construction Manager is required to possess the following skills/qualifications:
Extensive track record of managing construction projects within Oil and Gas Pipelines sector.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English language.
Substantial experience of supervising construction staff to achieve effective construction execution.
A degree in a relevant technical discipline is required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise multi-disciplined project teams
Read, understand and communicate project’s codes and standards, drawings, specifications and contract documents.
Highly motivated individual who is capable of working independently and participating with high performance team.
Working knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel and Power Point.
