Role description:
We are looking for a Senior control systems Engineer with extensive experience in mining, industrial and mineral processing projects. our Client is currently executing several key projects and is seeking an experienced engineer to join the electrical team.
Role Responsibilities
- Be part of the team on large multi-discipline EPCM projects.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers and designers to foster a culture of collaboration and co-operation with other disciplines.
- Develop and review estimates, schedules, progress reports, labour forecasts etc.
- Development, checking and approval process to ensure the technical integrity of project drawings and documentation such as scope of work, datasheets, and other project baseline documents in an orderly and timely manner.
- Interpret and apply client, national and international standards to design documentation.
- Ability to follow client standards and apply to specific solutions with minimal supervision
- Familiar with Functional safety standards and practices
- Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Engage with and manage vendors and sub-contractor interfaces.
- Undertake technical verification of project deliverables produced by other disciplines to contribute your technical expertise.
- Support client driven activity such as workshops and internal toll-gating.
- Liaise with site construction and commissioning teams to address queries.
- Australian accredited 4-year engineering degree
- Over 10 years of industry experience.
- Previous involvement during preliminary engineering studies (PES) to define and propose high level solutions.
- Able to effectively liaise with client work groups, vendors and public utilities such as telstra.
- Experienced in developing data-sheets, specifications, Scopes of work and related engineering documentation for budget pricing.
- Experienced in performing tender bid evaluations (TBEs), vendor submissions/data review.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems with attention to detail.
