We are hiring for a client who are a Process Package and Plant Contractor serving the global Energy Sector. From their headquarters in Spain and engineering centers in India, China, and the Middle East, they deliver high‑value process and engineering solutions across Upstream, Downstream, Circular Economy, and Energy Transition projects.
Their Indian branch primarily focuses on detailed engineering and project management activities globally.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer who will take full responsibility for basic and detailed electrical design activities, ensuring technical quality, schedule adherence, and effective coordination with multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute all basic and detailed electrical engineering activities for assigned projects.
- Manage procurement activities for all electrical equipment, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Participate in project startup, stabilization, and formal closure in close collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
- Prepare and review electrical engineering documents including equipment sizing calculations, single line diagrams, main and distribution substation designs, and other project deliverables.
- Perform and validate calculations for electrical and automation equipment and materials.
- Provide technical support during construction, startup, and commissioning phases, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
- Evaluate global electrical installation technologies and suppliers to maintain and enhance company standards related to grounding, lightning protection, lighting, wiring, motors, transformers, switchgears, MCCs, and field devices.
- Review and approve supplier technical documentation, drawings, and certified deliverables.
- Support Procurement and Project teams by reviewing vendor offers, preparing technical procurement documentation, and assessing vendor technical submissions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, relevant standards, and international codes.
- Collaborate with internal electrical designers and supervise outsourced engineering work when required.
- Lead and participate in internal and client engineering meetings.
- Develop critical designs personally while supporting and guiding other designers.
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams at NOVARGI India and headquarters to achieve optimal engineering solutions and close project interfaces.
Your Profile
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering; Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles.
- Experience working with engineering service companies in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Refining, or Petrochemical industries.
- At least 6 years of experience as an Electrical Project Engineer at industrial plant sites.
- Strong knowledge and experience with ETAP and DIALux.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as ETAP, ETAB, EPLAN, lighting calculation tools, AutoCAD, etc.
- Strong knowledge of IEC standards.
- Fluent in English.
