Job Description:
Seeking an Estimator / Sr. Estimator with experience with OCTG (casing, tubing), Line Pipe, Downhole Tools and PVFF (piping, fittings, flanges) to be supplied to Fabricators, EPC’s and end users in India, Southeast Asia, Middle East and North Africa. Focus will primarily be on carbon and stainless products associated with applications in Oil & Gas upstream, midstream and downstream operations and other applications in the Energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for generating accurate and timely cost estimates for projects.
• Experience in preparing techno commercial quotes for submission in tenders, project supply and spot requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate quotations.
• Work closely with India and US sales and engineering teams to gather project specifications and requirements, analyze and interpret data, and produce detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze and interpret data to produce detailed cost estimates for PVFF projects.
• Conduct research and gather data on materials, logistics, and services costs.
• Review and update cost estimates as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or market conditions.
• Keep informed of industry trends and developments to ensure that estimates are competitive and in line with current market conditions.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Prepare robust cost estimates for large bills of material with detailed accuracy and a fast pace.
Required Skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction Management, or a related field.
• 4 to 10 years of experience in cost estimating, with a focus on OCTG (casing, tubing), Line Pipe, Downhole Tools and PVFF (piping, fittings, flanges) and other related items.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other cost estimating software.
• Knowledge of industry standards, practices, and regulations.
• Knowledge of product specifications, applications and standards (API, ASTM/ASME, EN etc.)
• Knowledge and experience of all ancillary cost factors (inland transport, insurance, customs etc.) to prepare a complete quote.
