Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Our client is a major player in the engineering consultancy industry and are seeking a Senior Geotechnical or Geological Engineer to join their team in Calgary, AB. In this role you will specialize in earthfill and tailings dam structures. You would have a chance to be a part of a leading consultancy firm which has a strong presence nationally. Key Job Duties:
• Conduct dam inspections along with annual operation inspections.
• Handle the geotechnical evaluation of dams, and analyze the results.
• Assist with the development of tender documents and design plans.
• Perform technical reviews of analyses.
• Manage the preparation of cost estimates, project scheduling, and progress reports while meeting budgets and project deadlines.
• Assist with the preparation of proposals and scope projects.

Key Qualifications:
• 15 years of relevant experience in the Mining, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering field.
• Post-secondary program in Civil, Mining, or Geological Engineering.
• 10 years of experience with dam design, and construction.
• Experience with geotechnical software in relation to dam design.
• APEGA or EGBC membership.
