Position: Senior HSE Specialist
Location: Płock, Mazowieckie
Start Date: July 2026
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to leverage experience to propose new or improved HSE management methods on the project site, in order to create and maintain a productive and safe working environment while minimizing the risk of injuries, environmental damage, and hazardous conditions and practices. This objective is achieved by providing advice and recommending solutions focused on project safety and the Client’s interests.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company HSE standards, programs, and objectives by applying HSE procedures in line with company guidelines at the project site or office, including through training.
- Ensure project compliance with company requirements, Polish legislation, Client requirements, and regulatory HSE standards.
- Conduct on-site risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.
- Promote and support HSE standards and objectives through company and/or project programs to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Manage assigned functions through maintaining project documentation.
- Monitor medium-scale HSE programs by preparing summaries, reports, and presentations for HSE management, and formulating recommendations based on analysis.
- Contribute to the development of HSE plans and preparation of HSE specifications.
- Perform inspections, audits, assessments, checks, and incident investigations related to HSE activities, including monitoring and documenting project environmental data.
- Prepare and maintain reports and documentation required by the company or regulatory bodies, including tracking adherence to HSE standards and objectives.
- Analyze issues of varying complexity and formulate independent recommendations in line with organizational or project goals and guidelines.
- Organize and prioritize tasks effectively and in a timely manner, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Plan and manage own workload and execute instructions from management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
- Adhere to and support company policies regarding health, safety, environmental protection, and sustainability.
- Meet attendance and punctuality expectations.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Availability to work on-site in Płock (Monday–Friday).
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (HSE/BHS).
- Minimum of 10 years of HSE experience, including at least 5 years in a similar role.
- Experience in industrial and petrochemical sectors.
- Fluency in English and Polish.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of international HSE standards and best practices. NEBOSH certification is a plus.
