Senior Industrial Hygienist

Our client, a major player in the chemical and petrochemical industry, is seeking candidates for the role of Senior Industrial Hygienist in the lower mainland area. The qualified individual will actively participate in providing technical direction for the industrial hygiene program. Further to this, the selected candidate will act as a SME for emergency response situations, and they will ensure programs comply with regulations established federally and provincially.

Job duties:
- Provide daily support for HSE and industrial hygiene. This includes reviewing hazard communication programs and monitoring chemical exposure hazards.
- Responsible for documentation and preparing incident reports.
- Managing safety programs including WHMIS and ergonomics, and providing training to personnel
- Performing audits and recommending corrective actions

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in engineering, science, or occupational health & safety, or health science
- 10+ years of experience in industrial hygiene
- Must have technical knowledge of occupational hygiene and HSE
- Must have experience with industry standards and regulations including WorkSafeBC
- Should have certification in CIH, ROH, CRSP, and CSP
