Senior Mechanical Engineer

For one of its clients, TRS is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This is a project based assignment in The Hague area. Our client is an independent and international leading technology partner providing solutions for: among others Chemicals & Gas Processing.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

• To be the Mechanical specialist during the Basic Engineering phase and EPC phase of projects.
• General knowledge of the design of both Static and Rotating Equipment.
• Experience in Gasifier design.
• Preparation of data sheets and requisition for various equipment in the project as well as for large Package units.
• Preparation of technical bid analysis and evaluation reports for rotating equipment, vessels, mechanical handling equipment and package units.

Qualifications / Skills 

• Minimum 5-10 years relevant working experience with an engineering contractor, mechanical static equipment supplier or production company in the process industry.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering of static and rotating equipment in the preparation of specifications, data sheets, material requisitioning, technical bid evaluation, etc.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering is a preference.
• Overview of Mechanical design software such as PVElite, Tank, HTRI, BJack
• Knowledge of the fabrication of mechanical static equipment
• Knowledge of material engineering is a preference
• Exhibit thorough understanding of pertinent codes and governing regulations and industry practices
• Exhibit thorough understanding of the other discipline task and deliverables like process, piping, instrumentation and electrical

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Fluent in both Dutch and English
• Proactive all- round hands on individual.
• Team player and a natural communicator
