Job Duties:
• Review, develop and manage the OHST structure across the Lincoln Project site in-line with site goals and objectives
• Undertake MSHA training for new and experienced starters for both underground and surface duties.
• Ensure training retains continuity between site departments and meets site training goals
• Coordinate training programs with respect to position roles and responsibilities
• Review and development of site-specific Safe Operating Procedures
• Facilitate clear, concise and objective Job Safety Analysis processes
• Form an active role in operational safety awareness and training in all active areas on site
• Facilitate and manage incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Coordinate SOP management between client and mining contractor
• Manage the site Emergency Response team ensuring the teams meets, and where possible exceeds, statutory requirements
• Oversee the establishment of a site medical/first aid and emergency response facility and its continued efficient operation
• Coordinate and oversee the site random drug and alcohol testing program.
• Review and Audit site contractors SOHT systems including, but not limited to, the Underground Mining Contractor and Process Plant Upgrade EPCM contractor.
Requirements / Must haves:
• Experience with Managing MSHA underground mining requirements
• Experience in overseeing Underground Mines Rescue Teams
• Be a credentialed trainer with the MSHA with IS, IU and MR qualifications
• Preferably have experience with CALOSHA underground mining requirements.
• Preferably will have been employed as either an underground mine or process plant operator
