Planner - Data Center Construction (UK)

About the Role

A leading infrastructure provider is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planner to join their growing team. You'll play a vital role in supporting project delivery, with a strong focus on their expanding Data Center portfolio.

What you'll be doing:

• Collaborate with senior planners to provide comprehensive planning support and mentorship.
• Ensure seamless integration of design, procurement, and construction phases throughout project schedules.
• Develop and present compelling proposals for integrated tender programs.
• Analyze the impact of project changes on schedules and advise on potential extension of time (EOT) requirements.
• Create and obtain client approval for project schedules and EOTs.
• Take ownership of complex, large-scale projects and manage them to successful completion with minimal supervision. This may involve supervising other planning personnel.
• Implement lean visual planning tools to enhance project delivery timeliness, productivity, performance, and safety.
• Be prepared to undertake other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
• Uphold the company's core values in all daily activities.

What they're looking for:

• Post-graduate degree or relevant technical experience in major construction projects.
• Proven experience in planning services within medium to large construction projects in the UK, ideally with operational experience (e.g., site engineer/agent).
• Excellent customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to confidently present project plans to all levels within the organization.
• Demonstrated expertise in planning software like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Asta, Timeliner (TiLoS), Synchro, etc.
• A strong understanding and practical application of Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Management Techniques, and EOT analysis.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize workload.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
