Senior Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager (Civil)
Our client is an Indigenous owned company specializing in Construction and Maintenance Civil, Rail & Electrical scopes for major clients.
Our portfolio of clients includes (but not limited to) BHP, PTA, Rio Tinto, MRWA, ARC, Southern Ports, Alcoa & CBH.
Role Description
This is a full-time Senior Project Engineer (Civil) role located in Perth, WA, with flexibility for overseeing remote work projects.
- The Senior Project Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards, supervising project teams, delegating tasks, and communicating with stakeholders and clients.
- The Senior Project Engineer (Civil) will also be responsible for budgeting, preparing reports, and developing solutions to technical problems as well as being the face with clients.
- This position will work closely with the very experienced leadership team and will be supported with a transition into project managing multiple small project scopes throughout the state.
- This role is very fast paced starting with tending support, business development, pre-mobilisation planning and project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in project management, civil engineering design, and/or construction management.
- Experience in managing civil engineering projects from start to finish, including planning, design, construction and commissioning.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead and motivate project teams, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop technical solutions.
