This is an opportunity to have a hands-on role in the Energy Transition. You will be responsible to manage external Engineering and Construction partners from commencement of Front-End Engineering through the EPC phase to Commissioning and start-up.
The role:
• Having the responsibility for the overall development, progress and implementation of the Process, Utilities and Infrastructure facilities for the complex with main focus on HSE, Scope control, within budget and timely completion according to agreed Schedule.
• Facilitating in the development of overall project strategy.
• Managing FEED and EPC Contractors.
• Facilitating in evaluation, negotiations and agreements for EPC packages.
• Work with a core team covering specific engineering disciplines for the development, execution and implementation Utilities and Infrastructure.
• Being the liaison with the other process units / facilities in the production plan.
Responsibilities:
• Translates company requirements into project goals
• Prepares, completes and manages high quality project execution plans
• Proactively manages the total project in particular the risks and opportunities in the various areas (people, execution, business, etc.)
• Leads/manages and aligns the various parties (internal and external), which directly or indirectly are involved in the project
• Manages/meets financial company targets (costs, cashflow, TIC, etc)
• Ensures that FEED and EPC Contractors fully complies with contractual commitments
• Identifies, manages, mitigates/exploits Risks and Opportunities
• Proactively initiates/promotes a business/commercial attitude on the project
• Is authorised to act on behalf of the company for all aspects of the project
• Develops, maintains and fosters internal and external relations
• Actively develops Project Delivery skills in the organisation as a whole and in individuals
• Responsibility for representing the owner's interests
• Overseeing the multidisciplinary development of the project and will be working closely with other disciplines
• making sure the quality standards are met
• Ensure progress and implementation of work done by assigned vendors and contractors in support of future Operations group
• Ensure pro-active scope change management
• Providing Management and Board with the proper reporting and forecasting
• Provide input where applicable to the risk, regulatory and legal compliance issues.
• Provide input to all contractual (external, internal and 3rd party) merits and ensure requirements are included
• Carrying out prospective FEED and EPC Contractor technical / commercial evaluations
• Ensure that the project risks are identified and mitigated
• Conduct regular review meetings addressing progress and planning
Requested:
• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering.
• On the job experience of complex EPC projects essential
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in similar functions
• English language is required, Dutch is (highly) preferred.
• Client representative experience an advantage
• Prior accountability for large CAPEX projects
• Already living and working in The Netherlands
