Service Technician

TRS Craft Services is seeking an experienced Service Technician for client in DeSoto, TX.

Basic Purpose:

This position involves tear down and restock of returned goods. Perform repairs, conversions or modifications to units as required. Prepare units for analysis.

Actual Tasks:

• Expedite RGA’s as requested by customers or associates.
• Understand client's materials such as parts list, manufacturing specifications, GFI’s.
• Support assembly by providing rapid response to problems.
• Must be able to work safely with high voltage electricity.
• Prepare units for analysis for engineering.
• Perform repairs, conversions or modifications to units as required.
• Disassemble, clean, and restock parts.
• Determine causes of gearing, bearing, and shaft failure.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of assembly procedures.
• Visually inspect all work and rework as necessary.
• May occasionally be required to travel to perform service/repair work at customer’s location.
• Must comply with all current ISO Quality and Work Instructions for job, all Company Safety rules, and all other Company rules, policies, and procedures.
• Read and understand supporting documentation for the work area.
• Monitor the work area for cleanliness.
• Rotate to various jobs within Assembly Shop.
• May require occasional travel to other client facilities or customer sites.

Shift:

1st shift: M – F (5am – 1:30pm) w/ daily OT & weekend OT
