Our client, a major resource development organization, is seeking SITE CONTRACTS SPECIALIST (POST-AWARD) to support a large-scale project and operational environment. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic project environment and play a key role in the commercial administration and management of major contractor agreements during project execution.

The Site Contracts Specialist will be responsible for supporting post-award commercial activities and ensuring effective administration of project contracts throughout execution. Working closely with project, construction, procurement, and contractor teams, this individual will help manage commercial risk, support contract compliance, administer changes, and maintain strong contractor relationships to drive successful project outcomes.

This opportunity is ideal for a commercial or contracts professional with strong post-award contract management experience who enjoys working closely with project execution teams and contractors to ensure successful delivery of large-scale capital projects.

Work Location: Remote BC mining site 
Rotation Schedule: 2/2 (camp site assignment with chartered flights available from departure point, travel allowance, food and accommodation provided)
Employment Status: Independent Contractor
Contract Duration: 1 year with possible extension 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts throughout the execution phase, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.

  • Support contractor mobilization, performance monitoring, and contract closeout activities.

  • Manage contract changes, amendments, variations, and commercial correspondence.

  • Review and track contractor deliverables, milestones, commercial commitments, and performance metrics.

  • Support claims management, issue resolution, and dispute avoidance activities.

  • Assist with commercial risk identification, mitigation, and reporting.

  • Partner with project and construction teams to ensure contractual requirements are appropriately implemented and maintained.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Prepare commercial reports, documentation, forecasts, and management updates.

  • Support governance processes and ensure commercial documentation remains accurate, auditable, and up to date.


Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.

  • Experience administering contracts within major projects, construction, infrastructure, industrial, energy, mining, or resource sectors.

  • Strong background in post-award contract management, contract administration, and commercial execution.

  • Experience managing contract amendments, change orders, claims, and contract closeout processes.

  • Familiarity with EPC, EPCM, construction, consulting, and service agreements.

  • Working knowledge of contract models including lump sum, unit rate, reimbursable, and target-cost arrangements.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/commercial systems such as SAP, Ariba, Aconex, or similar platforms.
