Sr Process Engineer - Residue Hydrocracking

TRS Middle East is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer - Residue Hydrocracking in the Technical Services Department of a leading Refinery in the Middle East.

l . BE or BSc or higher Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized University
2. Must have at least 7 years of relevant experience, including refinery process engineering and/or refinery planning and economics
3. Must have a sound understanding of the process units and the interactions with upstream and downstream units, and solid practical knowledge of process unit operations - expert knowledge of one or more refinery process technologies is also an advantage
4. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
5. Must be a highly developed critical thinker, with excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
6. Must have expertise in rigorous process simulation and/or high level LP modelling skills
7. Must be self-motivated, use self-initiative and be creative
8. Must be able to organize, plan and execute work effectively
9. Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
10. Must be able to work well in teams
l l . Must be willing and able to be available for callout, as necessary, to advise, address and solve problems related to normal operation, upset conditions and emergencies
12. Must be willing and able to participate in TSD team efforts to provide 24-hour technical supervision and support during turnarounds, shutdowns and special operations.
13. Must be able to motivate, inspire and guide undergraduate students undertaking their vacation work experience programme in the department.
