We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work for our market leading client who is looking for an experienced Storekeeper on an ongoing contract basis. You will form part of a multi discipline team that are expected to carry out various works to a high quality and safety standard.
Reporting To: Maintenance Superintendent
Purpose of Job:
The Storekeeper will exhibit a high standard of administrative accuracy and control over the movement of stock in and out of the stores. Specifically he will ensure all records are accurate, transparent and up to date and that they reflect the actual situation with regard to stock movements.
Areas of Responsibility:
Maintain accurate and transparent records using Computerised Stock Control System
Receive stock and check off accurately against manifests and Purchase Orders/Requisitions
Carry out accurate and regular stock audits
Maintain stock minimum/maximum levels and keep equipment and materials in stock ready for immediate issue.
Liaise with all departments to ensure effective and efficient provision of equipment and materials.
Ensure equipment and materials are clearly and correctly identified and stored in correct locations.
Ensure correct certification of equipment and materials e.g. PSVs
Perform continuous appraisal of equipment and materials requirements through liaison with Heads of Departments and Operations Office
Carry out Emergency Response role.
Experience and Qualifications:
3 yrs experience in the Marine or Petroleum Industry with FPSO experience preferred.
Experienced with PC-based materials inventory control systems. AMOS preferred.
Thorough understanding of materials, purchasing and stock management procedures
Qualified to trade or technician level in a technical discipline
3 - 5 years in marine or petroleum industry in technical discipline
Medically fit to offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent
