“Our International Client is looking for Five (5) Lead Structural Hull Engineers with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, who will be responsible for the structural analysis and design of offshore floating structures and contribute to ensure that knowledge and expertise is maintained and expanded to deliver high-quality and cost-effective designs. This role is based in SCHIEDAM, ROTTERDAM AREA, NETHERLANDS.”
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Do strength verifications of tanker conversions and new build hulls of FPSO and FLNG projects.
• Structural and naval design of tanker conversions and new build hulls of FPSO and FLNG projects.
• Support to the Technology Development department for FPSO, FLNG and Renewable product lines in bringing new products and technology to the market.
• Support to the vessel acquisition department in the selection of donor tankers for conversion to FPSO or FLNG.
• Support 3D modelling and 2D drawing activities.
• Offshore inspection of tankers and yard support during conversion & new build projects.
• Fleet support activity
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited MSc or BSc degree or equivalent (i.e., Professional Certification) in Offshore Structures / Naval Architecture with the specialism of structural analysis of floating structures.
• Minimum Ten (10) years of relevant working experience in the field of floating structural design.
• Good experience and technical knowledge of structural analysis of global and local hull structures.
• Experience with finite element software FEMAP.
• Good knowledge of floating structure design process, from the conceptual phase to the construction phase.
• Familiar with rules of classification societies (i.e., ABS, DNV GL, BV and Lloyds).
• Experience in Engineering & Design of floating units in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Knowledge of structural interfaces with related disciplines i.e., mooring structure integrations, topside Integrations and other equipment integrations.
• Professional communication in English (verbal and written).
