Superintendent P & U Engineering

TRS Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Superintendent P&U Engineering for a leading Refinery in the Middle East.

The Client is looking for a candidate with a strong Electrical Background.

Job Purpose
To plan, organise, direct, co-ordinate & control the activities of the section in connection with all Company facilities in the Refinery, providing:-
1. Electrical & mechanical engineering design & support services
2. Project management/engineering services from initial evaluation to commissioning of facilities
3. Technical & resource support to all Plant Engineering Depts, PC&I (Process
Control & Instrumentation) Depts & MEP (Major Engineering Projects) Division. Facilities include No 2 Power Plant, Refinery Process Units, Refinery & Tank Farms, Wharf Areas, Areas, Marketing Terminal, All Company Buildings, Utilities Electrical Distribution S stems.

Knowledge Skills and Experience
BSc in Electrical Engineering. CEng or equivalent is preferable.
Fifteen (15) years experience in project management, engineering design in oil refining, oil & gas production or petrochemical industries together with experience in construction, maintenance, repair or inspection & will have included at least five (5) years in a supervisory capacity.
Specialist experience must include a minimum of five (5) years in electrical engineering in the petroleum industry including knowledge of electrical installation in hazardous areas.
A broad knowledge of design of utilities, power generation equipment & HVAC for industrial environments.
A broad knowledge of British and American design codes & of the corresponding Company standards & instructions.
Must be able to demonstrate sound managerial skills when ensuring complicated engineering work is done effectively.
Must possess qualities of leadership & be able to organize, originate & develop constructive ideas & encourage staff to do the same.
