MAIN TASK & RESPONSIBILITY
• To plan, execute and manage procurement related activities for the Operation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Essential unless otherwise indicated):
• Certificate Grade 12
• B. Degree or B.Tech in Procurement / Financial Discipline
• Valid Driver’s Licence Code B

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS (Essential unless otherwise indicated):
• 6-8 Year’s experience in procurement or financial experience in a mining or technical environment
• 2 Year’s Supervisory experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (Essential unless otherwise indicated):
• System Skills which includes Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning, SHERQ Systems and Inventory Tracking Software
• Manage and control procurement of external services/ products to ensure efficient service delivery. Manage the expediting process in line with contract/order terms
• Manage and control vendor database and liaison with vendors. Manage and monitor vendor performances according SLA’s
• Administer tender process in accordance with tender policy and procedure
• Administer, control and update contracts held with external providers and originate favourable long term supply contracts. Key liaison with external legal contract specialists
• Ensure compliance with legislation by setting and achieving targets in terms of BBBEE, DTI and Mining Charter requirements. Develop and implement a procurement policy that will enable achievement of procurement targets and statutory compliance
• Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes to area of responsibility to respond to changes in the industry, legislation, and other related matters including transformation and optimisation. Assist with workplace readiness assessment
• Obtain, check and refine information. Collate and submit reports. Run data exception reports and take corrective action. Conduct document control spot-checks
• Identify recurring problems and derive creative solutions involving team members. Recognise and reward team member efforts
• Implement compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes
• Plan, direct and assess Quality Management within sub-function and recommend remedial actions where necessary to ensure adherence to TQM principles
• Provide input into functional planning. Interpret functional plan and develop sub-functional plans
• Ensure operational plan is implemented
• Manage the efficient and effective utilisation of resources. Optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets and operational plans are met
• Optimise the core operational internal processes and internal supply chain and resolve operational conflicts
