Systems Assurance Engineer

In this role, the qualified candidate will be responsible for directing and leading teams on all rail system and system assurance issues. Some other responsibilities on the job may include leading the requirements management, interface management, and assurance through detailed design for RAMS and system modeling to hazard analysis and dependability analysis.

Job Duties:
• Creating System Safety and Assurance processes, hazard logs, and RAM plans.
• Delivering training workshops (ex. HAZID, FMEA/FMECA, WHATIF workshops)
• Conducting SIL assessments and ALARP/SFAIRP assessments
• Auditing the safety activities and RAM activities of others,
• Developing and implementing critical items lists regarding safety, and RAMS.

Qualifications:
• Must have at least 8 years of experience in the rail industry, and be familiar with its technology and designs, and lifecycles
• Post-secondary degree in either engineering, electrical, information systems, or something related
• Certified P.Eng registration or working to become one.
• Extensive knowledge of modern systems assurance techniques and processes
