Tax Accountant

Job Title: Tax Accountant

Responsibilities/Activities:
Responsible for tax compliance and tax minimization
TAX:
• Preparation of monthly tax provision for 2 entities
• Manage income tax accrual work papers and forecast
• Provide documentation and calculations for annual income tax returns.
• Support Group Tax function with tax planning initiatives
• Reconciliations of tax accounts – deferred accounts and payable
• Issue Optitax Reporting
• R&D credit calculation and documentation / inquire internally regarding initiatives qualifying for R&D credit
• Prepare real estate tax calculations and accruals
• Work with Audit, Tax and Treasury Manager to ensure overall coordination of all financial accounting activities through annual report
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
• Maintain census & foreign related party reporting requirements
• Maintain tax fixed assets ledger
ACCOUNTING:
• Participate in the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
• Assist with forecasting and cash projections
• Other general accounting functions as necessary

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 5+ years’ experience in a corporate tax related position with experience in internal control
• High knowledge of US GAAP including ASC 740 and IAS 12 (Accounting for Income Taxes)
• Must have tax provision and US tax compliance experience
• SAP FI Module and HFM preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter, flexible, and with a high level of integrity

• Ability to interact and communicate effectively in a multi-cultural work environment
