We are seeking a skilled TECHNICAL ENGINEERING WRITER (Part-time) to support the development of high-quality documentation for mining and feasibility studies.
This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams and requires a strong understanding of mining operations and technical documentation standards.
Employment Status: Independent Contractor (Part-time)
Work Location: Vancouver and/or Hybrid model
Contract Duration: 12 months
Working Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week, with an expected increase in workload during the fall season. Activity typically slows down around Christmas, which is when project reviews are conducted.
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and edit technical documents, including feasibility studies, execution plans, and project reports.
- Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and project managers to gather and synthesize technical content.
- Ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with industry and client standards.
- Translate complex technical data into accessible, well-structured documentation.
- Support document control and version management processes.
Qualifications:
- Engineering background is a must.
- Proven experience in technical writing within the mining or engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with mining feasibility studies (PEA, PFS, FS) and related documentation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document formatting tools.
Preferred Experience:
- Background working with mining companies or EPC firms.
- Exposure to large-scale mining projects or Tier 1 portfolios.
