FUNCTION: TECHNICIAN II, MATERIAL MANAGEMENT
DISCIPLINE: CONTRACTS & PROCUREMENT
LOCATION: UMHLANGA, DURBAN
DURATION: CONTRACT
SALARY: MARKET RELATED

“TRS is urgently looking for a MATERIAL MANAGEMENT, TECHNICIAN II to perform administrative purchasing, material shipping and vendor tasks for our client’s project team based at UMHLANGA, DURBAN.”
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Under close, direct supervision of material management specialists, performs administrative and fundamental purchasing assignments, material shipment tracing, as well as expediting activities with vendors, and arranges relocation and storage of employee-owned material, if necessary.
• Maintains material management logs and inputs material management commitment-related information into databases (such as MatMan, SAP, etc.).
• Performs low value purchasing activities under direct supervision.
• Expediting payment certificates close out documents and waiver of liens.
• Provide relevant support to the Supply Chain team for all vendors and or contractor related administrative activities as directed by the S.C team lead.
• All required Indirect Procurement activities per Client’s procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT
• Accredited High School or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within Oil and Gas Industry sector.
• Must have basic computer literacy and skills; SAP experience, 1-2 years of related experience.
