• Collate all relevant tender project information and be completely familiarised with the project scope, timelines and client tender milestones / programme
• Ensure that all information available is considered in programme preparation, Design release dates, co-ordination timelines, 3rd party CSA, MEP interfaces, free issue equipment dates incl. self-procured plan lead times etc.
• Liaise closely with estimating teams to fully understand the project scope and ensure it is fully reflected in the programme
• Arrange internal schedule meetings, to agree on the project WBS, pre-construction, construction and commissioning timelines and key activities
• Complete a build methodology review with the Operations Project Sponsor / Team to determine an optimal build sequence
• Produce tender programmes clearly showing the optimal build sequence for Kirby, taking account of all relevant information, while adhering to the contract milestone – escalate where there is conflict
• Determine plant, equipment, and sub-contractor “Required-on-Job” and “Mobilisation” dates
• Use the contract manhours made available by estimating to high level labour load the programme and produce manpower histograms (if possible understand what major metrics targets would be)
• Perform schedule risk reviews, schedule achievability analysis, escalate where there is risk to kirby
• Present programme and supporting information for signoff to the Operations Project Sponsor
• Support the Operations Project Sponsor / Team in developing mitigation strategies for pinch points
• Inform estimating of project durations as per the client contract milestones / programme for pricing of prelim
• Produce programme related presentations for internal and external use (presentation and handover to Operations post award)
