Transportation Engineering Manager

Our client, a leader in the construction of Alberta roads and highways for over two decades, is currently looking for a Transportation Engineering Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in transportation planning, traffic operations and geometric design that enables the development of innovative and effective solutions to safely accommodate the needs of all roadway users. The candidate must also develop optimized strategies that accomplish transportation needs while respecting the practical aspects of infrastructure operations and facilitate future transportation goals. Finally, this role requires the candidate to specialize in identifying traffic safety and operational issues and developing optimal solutions to address them, as well meticulously planning and implementing long-term capital cost infrastructure improvements or effective budget friendly strategies.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering
• 5+ years in a management capacity
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong knowledge of transportation planning and design, tender documentation
• Registration with APEGA as a P.Eng is a must
• Prior experience with Alberta Transportation
