Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that supports large-scale shipyard operations, including global sourcing, logistics, and warehousing.
- Department Management: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of 100+ professionals across procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics.
- Strategic Sourcing: Establish and manage global supplier relationships for long-lead marine items, steel, specialized machinery, and offshore equipment.
- Operational Excellence: Implement and optimize advanced ERP systems to drive digital transformation and real-time supply chain visibility.
- Risk & Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation of high-value, complex maritime contracts and develop robust risk mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity in a volatile market.
- Financial Stewardship: Accountable for departmental budgets and achieving significant annual cost-saving targets through centralized sourcing.
Requirements
- Experience: 15–20+ years in Supply Chain/Procurement, with at least 10 years in an executive leadership role within a shipyard, maritime, or heavy industrial environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business; an MBA or MSc is highly preferred.
