VP of Pricing (Supply Chain)
Description:
Leader in pricing tasks, making pricing decisions by product, vertical and geography. Critical in growth and profitability of the particular line of business while overseeing product and specialty product pricing, packaging, surcharges and recovery fees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop pricing strategies for the client's largest customers with sales leaders; lead pricing strategies to earn new business
- Create, train and enforce pricing rules based on geography, customer type, size of opportunity
- Maintain costing and pricing logic
- Evaluate existing customer's pricing to determine improvements based on market conditions, internal costs to supply and customer value chains
- Develop strategies to improve margins, retain and grow volumes
- Set KPIs for quote approvals, win rates, margins, win/loss data
- Quotes for strategies
- Lost business
- Price increases and improvements
- Sales and technical services
- Supply Chain Transportation Personnel to identify margin and volume growth opportunities
- Confirm pricing is within threshholds with Sr. Management Team
- Provides feedback to the sales and marketing team on market growth, changes in the marketplace, offer creative ideas/solutions to increase revenue and profitability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Marketing (required), or a combination of education and experience in relation to job functions
- 10+ years of experience (commodity, wholesale, packaging, direct, branded vs. private label)
- SQL and SRS operational experience strongly preferred
- Financial management and project management background
