Role Overview
The Wind Turbine Engineer/Senior Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end management of wind farms and turbines, ensuring optimal performance, contractual compliance, and adherence to statutory requirements. The role demands strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and effective coordination with cross-functional teams and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze daily generation reports to ensure optimum performance and identify loss reasons.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring strict adherence.
- Monitor turbine performance and escalate issues promptly to management.
- Track site issues and coordinate resolutions with OEMs and service providers.
- Supervise service contracts for compliance and quality standards.
- Monitor and manage spare parts consumption as per O&M agreements.
- Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams for routine O&M activities and improvements.
- Prepare and monitor monthly/annual budgets and financial approvals.
- Collect generation data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Conduct root cause analysis of failures and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001).
- Plan and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.
- Manage audits, training schedules, and statutory compliance activities.
- Drive cost control measures, inventory optimization, and productivity improvements.
Educational Qualification
- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of wind turbine commissioning and O&M practices.
- Working knowledge of SCADA systems and Balance of Plant operations.
- Hands-on experience with wind turbine technology.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Soft Skills
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
