The Civil Engineering Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from Due Diligence through construction. This includes scheduling needs and deadlines, managing project budgets, managing client needs, coordinating with permitting agencies, and the preparation of civil design drawings and other project deliverables. The Project Manager must be able to work with a team or on their own, depending on the size and scope of the project.

Duties:
  • Prepare preliminary and final design work for site development projects.
  • Perform storm drainage, water, and sewer calculations and prepare reports.
  • Create complex construction drawings and details using AutoCAD or Carlson applications.
  • Create stormwater technical reports utilizing HydroCAD or ICPR software
  • Oversee sub-consultants
  • Provide due diligence and feasibility studies
  • Manage all aspects of project development from programming through construction administration
  • Create and track project budgets, proposals, and schedules
  • Manage client relations, and coordinate directly with clients on project requirements
  • Ability to assign tasks to junior engineering staff to complete project goals
  • Ability to review and comment on as-builts and plats provided by surveyor
  • Knowledge of the permitting and closeout timelines of various local agencies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited College/University
  • 4+ years of Site Development experience (stormwater, grading, erosion, water and sewer)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • PE License preferred, or ability to obtain
  • Local Permitting experience (min. 2 years)
  • Previous experience producing site development plans and working with residential, commercial, or industrial clients in a consulting role
  • Skill in operating various specialized software, including AutoCAD or Carlson, HydroCAD, ICPR, Microsoft Office/Excel, Teams
  • Ability to produce construction documents, either with a group or on your own
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly motivated to successfully interact with clients, the public, and team members.
