Construction Engineer

TRS Staffing is seeking a Construction Engineer to join a growing team on a high-profile steel mill construction project in the Colorado Springs area. This role offers the opportunity to work on a project throughout all stages of construction.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review the Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural plans and specifications as they are being developed,
- Advise and make recommendations with respect to such factors as construction feasibility, possible economies, availability of materials and labor, time requirements for procurement and construction, and projected costs
- Closely monitor the schedule during both the design and construction phases of the Project
- During construction, observe the work as it is being performed, until final completion and acceptance to assure that the materials furnished and work performed are in accordance with working drawings and specifications
- Establish and implement procedures to be followed for expediting and processing all shop drawings, samples, catalogs, and other Project documents associated
- Observe the Contractors' final testing and start-up of utilities, operational systems and equipment

Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in onsite management of large-scale industrial construction projects
- Four year degree in a related field (i.e. Engineering, Construction Management, or other technical field of study)
- Experience in the steel industry preferred
