Our Partner, an internationally integrated Chemicals Company, is looking for a Category Analyst. This position can sit out of Houston, Texas or Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Major Responsibilities:

• Acts as primary contact for creating, updating and modifying Outline Agreements on SAP
• Acts as primary contact for Procurement and Suppliers to ensure SAP Outline Agreements are current and reflective of contracts created
• Processes and executes data and system requirements for SAP configuration data in support of mass roll-out SAP outline agreements
• Maintains and supports a supplier base, for specific contracts enabled via automated SAP Outline Agreements, and that meets the needs of Procurement operations and controls
• Enforcement of purchasing policies, including contracts, outline agreements, purchase orders and specification requirements.
• Manages reports on Outline Agreement usage and buyer take-offs against created (active) Outline Agreements
• Reviews buyer and supplier usage of Outline Agreements, reconciling discrepancies for future inclusion in or enhancement to Outline Agreements
• Proactively seeks to reduce overall purchasing administrative transaction costs.
• Coordinates with various teams to develop strategies for leveraging Outline Agreements and system automation
• Interface with IM and Master Data teams for creation of required SAP master data to enable maximum utilization of Outline Agreements
• Interface with buyers to ensure proper use of crafted Outline Agreements.

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 - 2 years working experience in associated field.
• Experience working in an analytical / reporting role. preferred.
• Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Office, SAP).
• SAP competence/experience (mandatory)
• Access Database, VB competence/experience (optional)
• BW competence / experience (optional)
• Strong interpersonal skills.
