TRS Staffing is searching for a Project Environmental Engineer in Austin/Dallas/Houston, Texas.
JOB SUMMARY
Assist ESE’s Compliance team with delivery of services to the marketplace in an organized and disciplined manner, striving to continuously improve in the areas of Consultative Project Management, and Technical Guidance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver the professional consulting services offered by ESE Partners using ESE delivery systems and methodologies.
• Operate as one of the firm’s technical staff members with respect to the disciplines related to Environmental Science and Engineering.
• Assist in the management of numerous project tasks simultaneously with potentially widely varying environmental scopes of work.
• Prepare technical reports including but not limited to: compliance audits, air permitting, SPCCs, SWPPPs, waste minimization plans, AVO inspections, GHG reporting, Tier II/TRI reporting, TPDES permitting, sustainability analysis and reporting.
• Development of scopes of work, proposals, budget estimates, and project strategies for various types of environmental compliance (air, water, and waste) projects.
• Management of project budgets, so as not to exceed estimates without client approval.
• Successful negotiation of permits and project goals with regulators on behalf of clients.
• Develop, maintain, and grow professional relationships with prospective clients inclusive of business development events and client prospecting and targeting
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing clients, regulators and vendors.
• Complete client needs assessment, project scoping, conduct client follow-up, be responsible for task or project financial performance, and assist in collection efforts when needed..
• Conduct Field Investigations – Visual Inspections and physical sampling.
• Author technical reports in accordance with the ASTM, U.S. EPA, TCEQ and RRC Guidelines.
• Manage and interpret laboratory analytical data.
• Manage and approve subcontractor accounts.
• Develop Site Maps and other pertinent drawings using Arc GIS.
• Maintain an average utilization target of 90%.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• BS Degree: Environmental Engineering. Masters Preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental consulting with project experience
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER
• EIT or GIT Preferred but Not Required
