TRS is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic for a new opportunity in Anderson, SC!
Responsibilities Include:
- Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and physical structure within a manufacturing facility
- Provides support to production associates to minimize downtime and improve plant-wide efficiency
- Responsible for all preventative maintenance of press equipment and plant facilities
- Diagnose problems, troubleshoot and repair machinery, and make adjustments
- Grease shafts, bearings, gears, replace motors and gear boxes
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and other auxiliary equipment
- Read and interpret machine manuals to perform required routine and preventative maintenance
- Demonstrate knowledge and proper usage of measuring utensils, including a multimeter, to check 3-phase voltage on equipment
- Other similar duties, as required by management
Requirements Include:
- High School Diploma required
- 3+ Years of related experience within manufacturing required
- Excellent, demonstrated mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of MIG welders, cutting torches and fabrication preferred
- Good math skills; ability to calculate and comprehend necessary math concepts
- Must focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Ability to complete required paperwork through basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to move up to 35 pounds and work with little or no supervision
- Ability to obtain an industrial powered lift truck and an overhead crane license
- General knowledge of various metal stamping equipment is strongly preferred
