About the Role
TRS Staffing is currently in search of an Area Construction Manager to join our esteemed client’s team based in South Australia. This is a FIFO 5:2 opportunity, leading the safe and efficient execution of shutdown construction activities across Hot Metals OR Non-Hot Metals scopes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of shutdown and pre-commitment construction scopes
- Implement construction strategies and methodologies to optimise performance
- Collaborate with operations to ensure constructability and minimise disruptions
- Identify and manage construction risks using established frameworks
- Monitor schedules and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with HSE and environmental standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing site and contractor teams
Skills and Experience
- 5-10 years of construction leadership experience in heavy industry or resources
- Strong knowledge of shutdowns and copper smelting
- Proven ability to manage safety, quality, and schedule performance
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification or trade/project management certification
